The surface you sleep on
Mattresses and toppers, memory foam in particular, hold body heat. The fitted sheet is the only layer between you and that surface.
Cotton absorbs sweat and holds it against the skin, and a shallow sheet that pulls off the corners leaves you lying on the mattress itself.
A eucalyptus lyocell sheet will not change the mattress, but it puts a smooth, breathable, moisture-wicking layer between you and it, held firmly in place.
