Caring for Your Sheets

Care Instructions

Your new bedding is designed to get softer with every wash — crafted for nights that last and comfort that lingers.

Follow these simple steps to keep your sheets feeling fresh, smooth, and ready for deeper rest:

Washing

  • Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle.
  • Use mild, liquid detergent — no bleach or fabric softeners.
  • Wash separately from rough fabrics (like towels or denim) to prevent pilling.
  • Avoid overloading your machine; your sheets need space to move freely.

Drying

  • Tumble dry on low or line dry
  • Remove promptly from the dryer to minimize wrinkles.

Extra Tips

  • For long-lasting freshness, store your sheets in a cool, dry place.
  • Avoid dry cleaning — your sheets prefer a gentle, natural wash.

Care FAQ's

Do I need to wash my sheets before using them?

Yes. We recommend giving your sheets a gentle wash before first use — it helps them soften up even more and settle into that signature Mossva feel.

Can I use fabric softener?

No need. Our sheets are naturally silky — fabric softeners can coat the fibres and reduce breathability. A mild liquid detergent works best.

Can I iron my sheets?

Totally optional. Most wrinkles smooth out naturally, but if you prefer a crisp look, iron on a low setting while the fabric is still slightly damp.

Can I tumble dry my bedding?

Yes — on a low heat setting. Or, if you’d rather keep things natural, hang to dry in the shade. Always remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.

What detergent should I use?

Choose a gentle, liquid detergent free from bleach or optical brighteners. Harsh chemicals can wear down natural fibres over time.

Can I mix my sheets with other laundry?

It’s best not to. Avoid washing with heavy or rough fabrics (like towels or jeans) — this helps prevent friction and keeps the fibres smooth.

My buttons feel tight after washing — is that normal?

Yes. Our bamboo buttons expand slightly in the wash. They'll shrink back once dry, either fasten them before washing, or after the sheets are dry.

Do the sheets shrink?

A small amount of natural shrinkage (about 3–5%) may occur after the first wash, which has already been accounted for in sizing.

How should I store them?

Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid plastic bags — your sheets like to breathe.

Can I dry clean my sheets?

No. Our eucalyptus lyocell is happiest with a simple, natural wash — no dry cleaning needed.

How long will my Mossva bedding last?

With gentle care, your sheets will stay soft and beautiful for years. In fact, they’ll get even silkier with time.

Do you offer pillowcases or duvets separately?

Right now, we offer full bedding sets only — each one includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover and four pillowcases.
